It’s been since April that we first heard about the Fresca folks taking over the former PJ’s Oysterbed space in the Inner Sunset, but now Tablehopper has word that their new venture, Pasión (737 Irving), is opening December 30. Chef-owner Jose Calvo-Perez promises a ceviche bar; small plates like a Dungeness crab salad with jicama, chayote, green apple, and pumpkin seeds; and salt cod fritters with romesco sauce and honey-lemon aioli. And entrées include a variety of seafood dishes as well as rotisserie chicken and wood-fire-grilled meats like rum-cured duck breast. Also, there will be a full bar. [Tablehopper]
